About Wayne Sharer

Saxophonist, composer, author and retired naval aviator Wayne Sharer is a self-taught musician with a reputation for producing amazing results in every venture of life. His music is living up to the same reputation.

After retiring from his life as a navy aviator and leader, his transition to a peaceful life left him searching for the right avenue to express himself and serve.

His wife solved that problem by "making" him pick up the saxophone after 35 years of not playing. He loves rock and smooth jazz ballads. He is heavily inspired by Elvis Presley, Queen, and saxophonists like Kenny G and Dave Koz. It was the best choice of his life for his soul and his and his wife's happiness to act on these inspirations.

His post-navy career started with sales and marketing online, then transitioning to author. As an author, Wayne wrote and published 5 books. But that wasn't enough. His wife nudged him to music and they began playing together.

After a stay in the hospital in 2022, the doctors wouldn't let him play his sax for months. He couldn't stay idle and decided to write a song for his wife. Then he wrote another - his first release of "Love's Gold."

Wayne is a U.S. citizen, originally from Washington, D.C. and now calls Las Vegas home when he's in the states. His wife is from China and they spend most of their time living in China.
